Ktima Petalea is the ideal destination for environmentally-sensitive vacationers wishing to combine the perks of a holiday cottage with the attraction of a beachside vacation, and the allure of a nature recreation retreat.
Each of the autonomous well-appointed stone cottages comfortably sleeps between 2-4, has a small kitchenette, a dining area, desk, bathroom, a/c, wi-fi, furnished terraces, assigned parking space, and yard.
What sets the property apart, is its vastness, lushness, and stillness. It is over 200 acres large and most of the space is covered by innumerable types of trees and plants -including olive, lemon, eucalyptus, cypress, palm, bitter daphnes, succulents, wildflowers.
Where the green ends the sand and sea begin since the property is located at the Western edge of 5-km long Mavrovouni Beach, -a FEE-certified Blue Flag beach. Sea turtles nest and hatch along the beach (June- Sept), which is also a popular site for water sports.
The on-site beach cafe mainly serves freshly prepared locally-sourced refreshments and light fare. There are fresh juices, hot and iced espresso drinks, grilled sandwiches and -in the Summer- we serve home-cooked breakfast and midday meals that include a vegetarian option.
We have a large common area. Guests may grill on the BBQ, bake in the stone oven, gather fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden, directly access the beach from their own private pathway or run, walk, cycle or ride on the 2.5 km on-site track.
